Conclusion

Overall the war of 1812 had a drastic and long lasting affect on the United States even if people didn't realize it at the time. The war was a major changing point for the nation as it went away with the revolutionary ideologies and instead adopted more Jacksonian ideals for things like expansion, economic issues, social issues and much more. But the war certainly set America down the cross roads it is still following now.
