Conclusion

All in all, the soldiers in the War of 1812 were treated very badly in all aspects of living, but they were still expected to go out and fight for the country. I think this could play a big part in PTSD for these soldiers.  Maybe whenever they are hungry or had a bad night's sleep, they are reminded of the bad times they had away at war. I do believe that we have made great strides to try and ensure the best living conditions for these soldiers, but we still have a lot of work to do to provide the best for these amazing people who are putting their lives on the line for our freedom.
